Workspace

• The window is made of regions that come and go without losing your place:
  • the Toolbar along the top,
  • the Tab Bar under it,
  • the top pane — the Audio Canvas and MIDI Canvas, or a plugin tab,
  • the Palette at the bottom,
  • the Palette Sidebar down the side.
• Each can be shown or hidden; the rest grows into the space.
• Showing and hiding never tears anything down — scroll positions, selections and open editors stay as they were.

Things to know

• A mode (Routing, MIDI Learn, Modulating, Shortcuts, Help) is shown as a pulsing pill in the toolbar — and, in a plugin tab, in the tab bar. Tap it to leave.
• Esc backs out of whatever is on top: a panel, a mode, an editor, then a tab.
